(1) Easy to oxidize.In the air, 5083 aluminum bars are simply oxidized to form a fine film of aluminum oxide, far beyond the melting point of aluminum and aluminum alloys.Alumina thin film appearance is easy to absorb water in the process of welding, it prevents us from metal fusion, easy to form a porosity, slag inclusion, not fusion and other shortcomings, resulting in the reduction of the main functions of different welding seams.
(2) Porosity that is easy to occur.When the main reason for the porosity of 5083 aluminum rods is hydrogen, as many liquid aluminum dissolve hydrogen and aluminum are almost insoluble solid hydrogen, so that when the solidification bath temperature cools rapidly, there is no time to weld the set of hydrogen escaping from the configured pores.Hydrogen pores are hard to avoid. It has been proved in practice that even if argon reaches 99.99% purity according to GB/T4842, there will be many fine pores when water content reaches 20ppm.When the relative humidity of air exceeds 80%, obvious porosity will appear in welding seam.
(3) Large thermal conductivity of 5083 aluminum bar (pure aluminum 0.538 CAL/cm.s.℃).Approximately 4 times stronger than steel, so when the rod is 5083, use more heat than welded steel.
